Using
hypnosis to address issues, such as: weight loss, smoking,
depression, childbirth, stress, sports, confidence, habits,
cravings, and
fears, is about behavior modification. There is
a developed behavior that is guiding your automatic reactions to
events. These reactions are based on your previous experience. When
you are trying to change a behavior, it can be a very real struggle
as your conscious mind attempts to change what your subconscious
mind already has in place.
You can
compare it to the mindless way you may have trained yourself to lock
the door when you get in the car. At first it takes conscious
effort. Eventually it becomes automatic, to the point that you may
not even know if you locked it or not without checking. Once that
simple habit is in place, changing it would take effort. A habit can
become stronger and more complex when you apply emotions and time.
The simple fact that we do create behaviors means that we can change
them, if we understand how. Hypnotherapy has shown to be a rapid way
to change behaviors, especially with modern hypnosis techniques.
When using the very same principles behind our natural behavior
creation, we can easily quit old habits as well as create new ones.
Losing weight with the help of hypnosis can
make all the difference. It can help you change your eating
patterns in ways that are difficult to describe without experiencing
it for yourself.
Hypnosis works in a subtle way. It works in
the "background" of your thinking, the same way your current habits
or cravings do. Hypnosis for weight loss works by helping you
replace old habits and establish new patterns in your life.
If you're looking to spend money on a 30 pounds in
30 days scam, you'll need to look elsewhere. Losing weight
thru hypnosis is about healthy weight loss.
Consistently dropping one or two pounds per week is often a good
goal. Making that a reality is within your grasp.
If you fight with your food cravings, you know a
part of your mind is working to satisfy that craving and eat that
food. Imagine if that part of your mind were actually working
to help
you eat healthy. Imagine if the little voice in your mind
craved a drink of water instead. That is the power of
hypnosis. That is weight loss by hypnosis.
Studies show that all smokers know they
should stop smoking. And almost all smokers know they'll have
to stop at some point. When is that time for you? It is
much easier for someone to stop smoking after they have had a
medical scare. But why wait for that?
There are some known facts
that make smokers put off quitting. One of the big ones is
that smokers quit seven times before quitting for good. That
means they fail
seven times before quitting for good. Imagine if your friends
all failed their drivers license test seven times before passing.
How much motivation would you have to try the test?
These seven quit smoking failures are often using
popular, but outdated techniques with a low success rate. The
quit smoking success rate of "cold turkey" is below the placebo
effect of 10%. Nicotine replacement (gum, patch, nasal spray)
and Zyban (Wellbutrin) have a success rate that is very close to
that of a placebo.
Given this, it is no surprise that quitting smoking can be such a
difficult experience. It does not have to be this way.
There are better quit smoking methods available.
Within almost any tips to quit
smoking, you will find information on hypnosis. Hypnosis to
stop smoking is well known and respected in the knowledgeable
medical community.
Hypnosis to quit smoking is one of the
easier things I work with. With the appropriate hypnosis
techniques, many smokers experience
no
cravings to smoke. Others experience vastly reduced or
weakened cravings that are easier to over-come and eventually go
away.
Sports:
Learn how to teach your body to respond with it's full athletic
potential. Hypnosis increases the power of creative visualization.
Many clients have improved their game literally overnight with a
single hypnotherapy session.
Depression and Grief: You know life should feel better, but
it doesn't. It can be different. Depression and grief can be our
minds natural
reaction to events. Sometimes this reaction lasts much longer than
it should. Our mind will sometimes keep the memory alive and active.
Our mind is not always aware of the passage of time. If we
experience grief and/or *depression for long periods, it is possible
our mind is continuing to re-experience the memory as if it were
still recent. Hypnosis can help a person's mind deal with these
memories of sadness, loss and anxiety, to actually feel freedom from
them.
Pain
management: Repeated clinical studies show the sensation of
pain is a function of your cortex and is based off of previous
experience and expectations. Hypnosis makes use of this basic
principle to reduce pain and manage your sense of well-being.
Childbirth:
Natural childbirth using hypnosis benefits both the mother and the
child; labor time is reduced for a less stressful experience, no
medication means no side effects, quicker recovery time, higher
APGAR scores. The baby's pre-birth position can also be addressed.
A combination of pain management, creative visualization, and
trained muscle response allows a quicker and more comfortable birth
experience.
The use of
modern hypnosis techniques makes this training simple and rapid.
After the initial training, the are possible to accomplish and
practice at home alone or with your partner.
My wife and I used this technique for our son's
birth in December. After 15 minutes of "hard labor" our first child
was born. The nurse looked at me with surprise and said "It
(hypnosis) really worked!".
Stress:
Much of our stress can be attributed to our learned behaviors in
reacting to stress triggers. Stress can be a sense of feeling
anxiety, nervousness and overwhelmed, Addressing these learned
behaviors reduces the amount of stress and anxiety we experience.
The remaining stress can then be more comfortably managed with
self-hypnosis techniques. Reducing stress is often key to
successful results when using hypnosis to help quit smoking.
Self-Hypnosis:
I believe that self-hypnosis is the basis for any strong hypnosis
session when wanting long term results. I teach a self-hypnosis
rapid induction as a part of my normal session. The self-hypnosis,
when used at home, is a practical way for people to reinforce the
work in our sessions. This rapid induction is used in my self-hypnosis
audio programs, Quit Smoking with
Hypnosis and Weight Loss with Hypnosis.
Behavior modification for children: Children respond
quickly and easily with hypnosis. Hypnosis uses that part of the
mind a child is often using anyway. That creative, feeling way of
thinking that a kid uses while playing. Study skills, anger, stress,
nail biting, self-confidence, sports, anxiety, depression,
eating habits and weight loss are all things that kids may experience and can be
successfully modified with hypnosis. If a child wants to change the
behavior, a simple hypnosis session may be all the help they need.
We address
these and many other issues with behavior modification. The
depth of application for professional clinical hypnosis is
impressive. If you are looking for a qualified hypnotist in
your area, don't be afraid to ask questions and be picky.
There are many different "flavors" of hypnosis. You deserve
the best hypnotist you can find. Spend the time to educate
yourself. Be involved in your progress. While I'm
focused on hypnosis with the previous statement, I believe it
applies to any professional you have hired to assist you. Take
charge of your life and make things happen.
If you have
trouble taking charge of your life, a good hypnotist is an option
worth exploring.
